During my residency, I learned the treatment of all diseases related to general surgery. I noticed that female patients tended to delay treatment because they were embarrassed about examinations of the anal region. Consequently, I took a closer interest in the treatment of anorectal diseases, which fall under the branch of proctology.<\/p>\n<p>After completing my residency, I worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Bergama State Hospital for 8 years, between 2002 and 2010. After 2010, I served at Private Metropol Medical Center, Private Gazikent Medical Center, and Private \u00c7ankaya Medical Center, all located in \u0130zmir. Since October 2016, I have been working as a proctologist (specialist in rectal diseases) at my private practice in Alsancak.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout my career, among the dozens of diseases falling under general surgery, I have focused on those within the field of proctology (which deals with anal region diseases), such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hemorrhoids (piles)<\/li>\n<li>Fissure (anal crack\/tear)<\/li>\n<li>Fistula (a hole near the anus causing continuous discharge)<\/li>\n<li>Pilonidal sinus (ingrown hair); outpatient surgeries such as microsinusectomy, Bascom, pit picking, and Karydakis<\/li>\n<li>Condyloma (anal warts)<\/li>\n<li>Polyps (protrusions in the anogenital region and rectum)<\/li>\n<li>Anal aesthetic surgeries<\/li>\n<li>Non-surgical treatment of all types of moles on the face and body<\/li>\n<li>Corns\/Calluses<\/li>\n<li>Lipoma (fatty lumps)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6555,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"pgc_sgb_lightbox_settings":""},"birim":["General Surgery"],"merkez":["Metropol Hospital","Metropol Karsiyaka Medical Center"],"class_list":["post-6554","hekim","type-hekim","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","birim-general-surgery","merkez-metropol-hospital","merkez-metropol-karsiyaka-medical-center"],"acf":{"bolum":"Genel Cerrahi","on_yazi":"<p>I was born in \u0130zmir in 1973. I attended primary school at Kar\u015f\u0131yaka Kenan Gams\u0131z Primary School, and completed my middle and high school education at Kar\u015f\u0131yaka High School.
