In Which Situations Is Mammography Used?

How is Mammography Performed?
- Positioning: The patient is placed in the mammography machine and the breast tissue is gently compressed between two layers.
- Imaging: The device takes high-resolution X-ray images and examines the breast tissue in detail.
- Short Completion Time: The procedure usually takes a few minutes and does not cause pain except for mild discomfort.

- Early Detection and Follow-up: Mammography allows breast cancer to be detected at an early stage and allows treatment to be started on time.
- Biopsy If an abnormal mass is detected, a tissue sample is taken to assess the risk of cancer.
